The Studio
My studio space has moved 6 times over the last 10 years. It’s occupied anywhere from an upstairs landing, to an entire 933 sq ft house, even a formal living room (because who really needs that?!).
It’s current location is in our walk out basement. No matter how big or how small, I have always considered it a blessing to be able to carve out a space to be creative. Our 9 kids have always had the freedom to enter in and explore their own creativity. Although, I haven’t always given them free rein of my art supplies!
“People aren’t longing to be impressed; they’re longing to feel like they’re home. If you create a space full of love and character and creativity and soul, they’ll take off their shoes and curl up with gratitude and rest, no matter how small, no matter how undone, no matter how odd.”
